The British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) has been at the heart of the exhilarating history of British motor sport
The BRDC Library and Archive has been key to The Silverstone Experience project. For the first time we’re able to use its unique collections to tell the whole Silverstone story.
Our modern Collections and Research Centre will provide better access to the archive and ensure that it’s preserved for future generations.
Unpacking the Archive
The BRDC collection is a vast treasure trove that spans Silverstone’s rich history. Its gems include photographs, books, race programmes, journals and driver signing on sheets.
Our ongoing digitisation programme means we’re making our collections available to new audiences. We’re also ensuring that we protect this important archive for many years to come.
We welcome offers to the collection, and we are currently seeking items from drivers and teams related to significant moments in Silverstone’s history. If you would like to offer us an object, please get in touch. Try to give us as much information about the object and its current condition.
Silverstone’s history is nothing without the people behind it. The project has enabled us to record the stories of those involved in this historic motor racing circuit. If you have a Silverstone story to tell, we’d love to hear from you!
